LOGOS - SHAPE AND REPETITION
Have you ever seen a logo where you see so many elements screaming to get your attention that you simply can´t figure out where to look?  There is nothing wrong with a logo trying to suggest multiple concepts, principles, etc., but there are other/better ways of doing it. Most of the designers of the following logos have done it using SHAPE and REPETITION.

How to Write a LOGO RATIONALE
It is often productive to have written rationales to accompany each concept. This can help you, the designer, clarify your thoughts before getting the concepts in front of your client. The rationales will help your client to better understand the concepts from your point of view. In turn, this will help your client make an educated decision when picking their final logo.

DRAWING DEVELOPMENT
What did Viktor LOWENFELD and Betty EDWARDS say about children from 12-16, the children who are in Junior - Middle Secondary School?

In 1979 Betty EDWARDS wrote her famous book
"DRAWING ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BRAIN".
She identified The Five Basic Skills of Drawing as:
1  THE PERCEPTION OF EDGES
2  THE PERCEPTION OF SPACES
3  THE PERCEPTION OF
     RELATIONSHIPS
4  THE PERCEPTION OF
     LIGHT AND SHADOWS
5  THE PERCEPTION OF THE
      WHOLE, OR GESTALT

HOW CAN THESE SKILLS BE DEVELOPED?

ARCHITECTURAL ART
Architectural Art is an area that often raises the issue of digital rendering vs hand/manual rendering. While some projects benefit from digital photoreal renderings to articulate actual colours and textures, hand renderings are usually softer and leave the specifics of the actual exteriors a bit more vague and open to more interpretation.

WORDART
Any definition of art makes it obvious that human intervention is required in the result. So, to make 'WORDART', you are going to 'intervene' in the way a word looks the next time you are
designing a logo, a poster, packaging (for breakfast cereal as an example), a book/magazine cover, etc.. You are not going to simply select and use an existing font/typeface without altering/amending it in some way - or you may go the extreme of custom designing your own letters/words.
