The above images are examples of a triadic colour scheme using the three primary colours
YELLOW, BLUE and RED
colours equidistant from each other on the colour wheel










Triadic colour schemes are not as contrasting as the complementary colour scheme, but look more balanced and harmonious

Another common triadic colour scheme uses the three secondary colours -
orange, green and purple/violet.
Once again they are equidistant on the colour wheel.
























Tips:
1. Choose one colour to be used in larger amounts than others
2. If the colours look gaudy, try to subdue them
