Level 5
Students should
•  
observe the form of simple objects they are familiar with
  such as an mp3 player, mobile phone, a digital music player
•  
present freehand manual drawings to represent such objects,
  considering how line can establish structural form
•  
establish a single light source and observe and record tone
  on the non-illuminated surfaces
•  
interpret how surfaces such as metal and plastic can be
  emulated through
pencil rendering techniques

Level 6
Students should
•  
developing their own drawing and rendering abilities when
  drawing from observation, generating freehand concepts
  and refining presentations, using personalized illustration
  techniques

Objective 2:
Students will develop a sound working knowledge of graphics
equipment, software, and materials and of general drafting practice
Level 3
Students should
•  demonstrate an appreciation and knowledge of modern
  drawing technologies and media for illustration and
  
colour rendering, such as drafting machines, printers, photography,
  templates and stencils, paper and card, pencils, pens, ink, pastels and
  crayons, and airbrushes

Objective 3:
Students will use a variety of presentation and illustrative techniques to
describe and clarify shape and structure
Prior learning
Students should
•  develop skills in two-and
three-dimensional presentations of
  simple forms
and design ideas;
•  
enhance simple drawings with colour rendering and shading
