WHAT IF THE WHOLE OBJECT WAS
DRAWN AS IF IT WAS ON AN ANGLE?
The drawings on the far left show the Top
View and Front View of a simplified railway
truck. The front view has been used to
produce an OBLIQUE DRAWING - a
pictorial or 3D drawing.
The drawings on the left show what
happens when the object is drawn as if it
is on an angle (to the Picture Plane)
What has been produced is a
Harold Freedman, who was the Victorian
State Artist CLICK HERE adapted this when
he and his assistants painted the 'History
of Transport' mural now at the Southern
Cross Station in Melbourne. On the left is
one small part of the mural.
