The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority publishes administrative advice and regulations for the VCE in the VCE  and VCAL Administrative Handbook

Changes to advice and regulations occur during the year. The details of all such  changes are published in the VCAA Bulletin and VCAA Bulletin P–10 on a regular basis. It is essential that VCE teachers  familiarise themselves with advice and regulations in the VCE and VCAL Administrative Handbook and regularly check the  VCAA Bulletin.

Information includes:
UNIT 4
School-assessed Task
The School-assessed Task contributes 33 per cent to the study score and is commenced in Unit 4.
Teachers will provide to the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) a score representing an assessment of the student’s level of performance for Outcomes 1, 2 and 3 in Unit 4.
The score must be based on the teacher’s assessment of the student’s performance according to the criteria published on pages 39-42. This assessment will be subject to review by a panel appointed by the VCAA.

The assessment sheet on page 43 is to be used by teachers to award a score. The completed assessment sheet for each student’s School-assessed Task must be available on request by the VCAA.
Details of authentication requirements and administrative arrangements for school-assessed tasks can be found in the VCE and VCAL Administrative Handbook.

The School-assessed Task has three components.
Each is prepared in Unit 4.
The components are:
• Outcome 1
Preparation of a brief
• Outcome 2
Production of a developmental folio, and
• Outcome 3
Production of two final presentations based on the brief.
