DESIGN COUNCIL (UK)
APRIL 2011
For over 60 years the Design Council in UK has promoted design for the
public good. They are a government agency with a Royal Charter,
funded by the Department of Business Innovation and Skills.

They are a centre of new thinking and insight into new ways to do
business. Their work shows how design can tackle big challenges and
improve everyday life. They run practical demonstrations and support
programmes for private industry and the public sector. And they invest
in the future of UK design.

They have collected
in-depth information on many different design
disciplines to show the breadth of services designers can offer.
In each guide you'll find:
- An explanation of the discipline
- Case studies of projects
- Information on what it's like to be a designer working in this discipline
