Victorian Essential Learning Standards
Information has been added to the
website which provides an introduction
to VELS as it applies to Visual
Communication in Victorian schools (to
the end of Year 10).

Last month's POSTCARD activities have
been used to help explain the new
Standards.

Activites added to the website in 2007

NEW ZEALAND TEACHERS
The above information is of interest to
teachers in Victorian schools where
Visual Communication is a discipline in
the Arts. In New Zealand, Graphics is
part of Technology education, which is a
mandatory part of the school curriculum
to the end of year 10.
Future pages added to the website will
show how activities are relevant to the
General Objectives and Level
Descriptors.
