| DESIGN VICTORIA The Victorian Government's Design Victoria Strategy ended on 31 December 2011. Established under the Strategy in 2007, Design Victoria at RMIT University, successfully delivered a large number of seminars and workshops, funded and facilitated design projects and developed and produced informative resources and research findings. Whitespace does not hold content in the way that a photograph or text holds meaning and yet it gives meaning, through context, to both image and text. In fact, whitespace can make or break the effective transmission of image and text. CLICK HERE + + + + + + VIGNELLI CANON Massimo Vignelli (born 1931 in Milan, Italy) is a designer who has done work in a number of areas ranging from package design to furniture design to public signage to showroom design through Vignelli Associates, which he co-founded with his wife, Lella. He has said, "If you can design one thing, you can design everything." In January 2009, Vignelli released The Vignelli Canon as a free e-book. In the introduction Vignelli writes, "I thought that it might be useful to pass some of my professional knowledge around, with the hope of improving [young designers'] design skills.
